Happy Hour

Sydney’s Happy Hour Runs Every Day at This Outdoor Garden Bar

The Garden in The Rocks offers $7 cocktails, beers and wine from 5 to 7pm every day of the week, in an open-air sandstone courtyard in the heart of Sydney CBD. It’s a quieter alternative to the standard CBD bar, with a garden setting that makes you want to order another round.

Happy Hour With a Garden View

Where most happy hour bars in Sydney play out at an indoor counter, The Garden takes place in a courtyard designed by acclaimed landscape designer Paul Bangay. Open-air, afternoon sun and greenery on all sides. The kind of place where the first drink turns into two. Good light, good drinks, no rush.

Happy Hour Every Day, Including Saturday and Sunday

Whether it’s a Friday after work, a slow Saturday afternoon or a Sunday wind-down, the offer doesn’t change. $7 cocktails, beers and wine from 5 to 7pm, seven days a week. The Garden runs the same two hours regardless of the day.

For those familiar with Bangay’s work, it’s a rare chance to spend time in one of his designed spaces in the city. For those discovering him here, the space speaks for itself.

What's on the Menu

The happy hour offer runs $7 across the board. Classic cocktails include a Garden Dry Gin Martini, Negroni, Margarita, Aperol Spritz and Garden Spritz. Draught beers, prosecco, wines and house spirits, all in the same range. Food is available throughout, from fried calamari and burrata to a bowl of fries alongside your drink. Two hours is enough time to settle in properly rather than drink on the clock.
